Working hand in hand with the Software Development Manager and as part of the Agile team, the Technical Team Lead (React):
- Makes sure that the other team members have all the tools and training to deliver excellent quality solutions that meet both the functional and non-functional requirements
- Facilitates communication between the different stakeholders when needed
- Keep abreast with the latest technologies
- Acts as a point of reference for other team members
- Supports with complex troubleshooting and development task
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship.
- Guide the team development efforts towards successful project delivery.
- Make sure that the team maintains high standards of software quality by establishing and pushing forward the best practices.
- Make sure that the team adheres to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on time, on-budget and meet functional and design requirements.
- Conduct peer-reviews of low-level designs, code and other documentation required as part of the development process, making sure the team is following the best practices and guidelines.
- Assess opportunities and technologies for application and process improvements and prepare the necessary documentation and prototypes to share and show the potential of such improvements to the team members and other affected parties.
- Identify and encourage areas of growth and improvement within the team.
- Make sure that the documentation repository/wiki is always is kept updated by the team
- Responsible to train new joiners: Technical, Process /Agile and Product training
- Assist the team in understanding the users’ requirements, creation and estimation of user stories, and work plans
- Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance to established standards.
- Analyse and resolve technical and application problems.
- Prepare and support deployment of releases
- Support the product team to create the best user experience
Requirements
- 7+ years' experience working as senior FE software developer, developing with React and Redux Frameworks in an Agile environment.
- 1+ years' experience leading front-end teams working in agile teams.
- Experience training, coaching, and mentoring developers.
- Experience working in a mission critical environment with tight SLAs.
- Experience troubleshooting, replicating live issues and profiling of applications
- First or Post-Graduate Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and related software technologies (Scrum, Kanban, JIRA etc.) and the Atlassian stack.
- Experience in testing React Code preferably using React Testing Library.
- Experience in developing responsive and accessible frontend code.
- Experience developing with JavaScript, HTML 5 and CSS3.
- Knowledge of REST APIs concepts and best practices.
- Knowledge of OOP, Design Patterns, Clean Code, Refactoring, and Unit Testing.
- Experience building Restful backend services using popular frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Experience in Relational / NoSQL Database Management Systems such as MySQL, Postgresql, ElasticSearch, MongoDB.
- Strong knowledge on GIT and Sonarqube.
- Work Experience with Linux OS, preferably Ubuntu.
- Knowledge on Docker or any other containerisation technology
- Knowledge and experience in microservices architecture is considered as an asset.
- Strong work ethics with a passion towards achieving high precision and quality of work produced. Reliable time keeping and attendance.
