As a member of the Design team, you will have a unique opportunity to create wireframes for projects with defined details and design simple and user-friendly mobile application interfaces, all while working closely alongside some of the brightest minds in the mobile app arena. Your expertise and dedication will be essential in shaping the development and success of our apps.
What you’ll be doing:
- Create UI/UX designs that effectively communicate product function and brand identity with users while reviewing, restructuring and optimizing existing ones
- Guide the designs of innovative user interfaces for our mobile applications, ensuring an exceptional user experience
- Collaborate with the development team to gather requirements and translate them into intuitive and visually appealing interface designs
- Create prototypes, concepts, flows, layouts, and mock-ups
- Research, analyze and stay up-to-date with market trends, new techniques and emerging technologies, proactively incorporating them into design processes to deliver cutting-edge UI/UX designs
- Mentor and provide guidance to the design team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment
- Leverage usage data to assess the impact of your designs and apply your learnings to the next iterations
What we’re looking for:
- A university degree preferably in Graphic Design, Visual Communication Design, Graphic Arts or related fields; candidates with a bachelor’s degree in other disciplines will also be considered
- At least 4+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer in mobile app industry
- Strong proficiency in Figma is a must, familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is a plus
- Design thinking mindset, bringing creativity and empathy to problem-solving
- Proven ability to work autonomously, taking initiative and seeing projects through to completion with minimal oversight
- Strong portfolio demonstrating your UI/UX Design skills, with a focus on mobile app industry
- Exceptional multitasking and time-management skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- A team player who actively contributes to the collective success and fosters a collaborative atmosphere
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, ensuring effective conveyance of ideas and concepts
- Openness and appreciation towards feedback, embracing opportunities for growth and improvement
- Fluency in English, enabling effortless participation in technical discussions and effective collaboration

What does the recruitment process look like?
1. Application Review: We will carefully review your CV to evaluate your accomplishments and qualifications.
2. Interview: A 30-minute Google Meet interview with our People amp; Culture Specialist will be conducted to discuss your experience, expectations and potential synergies. This will help us determine how we can collaborate effectively.
3. Case Study: You will be provided with a project relevant to the position, which you will complete to demonstrate your proficiency and practical knowledge.
4. Technical Meeting: A Google Meet session with our team lead will be arranged for you to engage in in-depth discussions on technical topics that align with your expertise. You will be asked specific questions to further showcase your technical skills.
5. Team Meeting: You will have an in-person meeting with the founders of AppNation, during which we will discuss your expectations and explore how you can contribute to our team. This interview will also provide an opportunity for you to gain insights into AppNation's culture and working environment.
6. Final Decision: Within a few days, we will inform you of our decision regarding your suitability for the role.
