World Business Lenders (WBL) provides general purpose short-term real estate collateralized commercial loans to a broad customer base comprised of small and medium sized businesses throughout the United States that lack access to traditional funding.
WBL is seeking to bolster its staff with qualified talent in Turkey, based in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir or select other cities. This is a Contract/Consultant position. Generally, working hours will be 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern Time (4:00pm-1:00am or 5:00pm-2:00am Istanbul time), Monday through Friday, although hours worked may be greater based upon operational requirements. The job requires excellent oral and written command of the English language. Resumes must be submitted in English. Resumes provided in Turkish will not be reviewed. YOU MUST LIVE IN TURKEY.
About the Job
The candidate will research, process, and analyze loan applications. Job responsibilities include working with WBL Intake and Operations teams to prepare a loan package for each loan. These teams consist of Processing/Customer Service, Initial Credit Review, Underwriting, to which the Analyst would provide support. Furthermore, the candidate will perform other projects and duties as assigned.
The Analyst role is operationally critical towards completing the goals of the company. The nature of the job is time sensitive and requires attention to every detail. Therefore, the candidate is expected to be well organized and hardworking. Ability to apply logical thinking and analytical methods to real life situations is required. This is a cross-functional job which requires a high level of communication and quantitative skills. The candidate will have extensive exposure to senior leadership and multiple departments within the firm. The Analyst is to effectively communicate credit concerns and, in time, work on the full life cycle of a loan. Upon completion of training, Analysts will likely be transferred into other departments, within the company, depending on business needs and other factors.
Essential Functions
- Research local real estate markets
- Prepare offers on submissions, present them to Sales and work with them, within the boundaries of our underwriting methodology.
- Analyze business bank statements, financial statements and ratios to conduct credit analyses
- Conduct verification calls with third parties
- Develop financial models to support analysis of loan level and portfolio performance
- Prepare/verify loan documents and mortgage to be executed by the borrower to fund
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
Requirements
- You Must Live in Turkey
- 100% fluency in English, with exceptional English verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Willing to work EST time zone hours (4pm-1am, or 5pm-2am, Istanbul time)
- 0-5 years’ work experience (foreign education amp; work experience outside Turkey is preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree (Business, Economics, Engineering/Sciences, Arts, English majors) desirable Strong ability to work independently
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and/or Teams experience preferred)
- Experience working as a loan processor in a mortgage/loan environment (optional)
- Must own a computer (desktop/laptop, PC or Mac is acceptable) to be used for this position
Benefits
$1,200 - $1,500 USD per month, depending on experience
