Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated Electrical Test Technician who will play a crucial role in testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and dimension testing of Polaris parts, components, and equipment using specialized software and equipment. You will be responsible for conducting various electrical tests, inspections, and measurements using calipers-multimeters-test programs on a pc, interpreting results, identifying faults, and assisting in the resolution of system issues working closely with the production manager, engineers, assembly technicians, and other technicians to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing electrical component testing according to established test procedures, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and industry standards,
  • Utilizing specialized software and equipment to conduct a wide range of electrical tests, including but not limited to voltage, current, resistance, continuity, and insulation testing,
  • Operating and maintain various testing instruments, such as multimeters, ensuring they are calibrated and in proper working condition,
  • Conducting mechanical measurements using calipers, go/no go gauges and other precision measuring tools to ensure accurate component dimensions and specifications,
  • Collaborating with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve testing issues, assisting in the identification and diagnosis of faulty components or equipment,
  • Documenting and recording test results accurately and efficiently, maintaining detailed test logs and reports,
  • Following quality assurance protocols, ensuring all testing activities are performed in compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations,
  • Assisting in the assembly, disassembly, and setup of electrical components and test fixtures as required,
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, practicing good housekeeping habits and ensuring the safety of yourself and others,
  • Performing stock update operations via dedicated software depending on the acceptance criteria.
  • Requirements


    • High school diploma or equivalent in electrical or electronic field is a must,
    • Proven experience at least 3 years as a Test Technician or a related field, with a strong focus on electrical component testing,
    • Proficiency in using specialized software and equipment for electrical testing, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and data loggers,
    • Familiarity with mechanical measurements and experience using calipers or other precision measuring tools,
    • Knowledge of quality control processes and adherence to safety guidelines,
    • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations,
    • Sound knowledge of electrical principles, circuits, and components,
    • Ability to interpret and follow technical instructions, test procedures, and engineering drawings,
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and troubleshoot testing issues,
    • Excellent organizational and documentation skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records,
    • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams,
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment,
