Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist who is exceptionally motivated and experienced to play a pivotal role in advancing industrial AI systems for predictive analytics and data performance optimization using operational data. In this role, you will devise resilient solutions that will be integrated into our predictive and preventive maintenance AI architecture, ultimately enhancing the efficiency of glass and steel manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Gather and consolidate data from various sources, including internal databases, external APIs, and third-party data providers establishing best practices.
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with various teams to identify data requirements and integration points.
- Implement data cleaning and preprocessing techniques to handle missing values, outliers, and noisy data.
- Standardize and format data to ensure it is ready for analysis.
- Conduct thorough Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to uncover patterns, trends, and insights within the data.
- Utilize statistical and visualization tools to extract insights on manufacturing processes and communicate findings effectively.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define relevant metrics and KPIs.
- Develop predictive and prescriptive models using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques.
- Develop predictive/preventive maintenance AI algorithms to enhance manufacturing process,
- Evaluate model performance and make recommendations for model improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and incorporate best practices into your work.
- Create meaningful dashboards and reports to present findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data sources, methodologies, and models.
- Clearly communicate findings, methodologies, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Working closely with technical leaders to understand the business side of data (industrial AI).
- Collaborating with other engineers and scientists to find effective solutions to technical challenges.
- Leading the team members to excel in their roles with a sense of contribution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- MS/PHD Degree in machine learning is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in AI and building predictive models, preferably in a business or industrial setting.
- Proven experience in ETL processes, data cleaning, and exploratory data analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or experience in MATLAB.
- Strong knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
- Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
