World Business Lenders (WBL) provides general purpose short-term real estate collateralized commercial loans to a broad customer base comprised of small and medium sized businesses throughout the United States that lack access to traditional funding. WBL services its loan portfolio and loan portfolios for third parties, specializing in the management of non-performing loan pools and REO.
WBL is a U.S.-based company with a 100% remote workforce. The company is seeking to bolster its staff with qualified talent in Turkey.
This is a remote Contract/Consultant position. Working hours will be 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern Time (4:00pm-1:00am or 5:00pm-2:00am Istanbul time), Monday through Friday. The job requires excellent oral and written command of the English language. Resumes must be submitted in English. Resumes provided in Turkish will not be reviewed.
About the Job:
WBL Analysts research, analyze, process and close loan applications. Job responsibilities include working with WBL Intake, Credit, Processing, Valuation, Title and Closing departments to prepare a loan package for each loan and help move the loan through the pipeline to closing. Upon completion of initial training, Analysts will be placed in a department or may rotate between departments within the company. Furthermore, the candidate will perform other projects and duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
The nature of the Credit Analyst position is time sensitive and requires attention to every detail. Therefore, the candidate is expected to be well organized and hardworking. Data entry, working in Excel, and quality reviews are critical skills for success. Ability to apply logical thinking and analytical methods to real life situations is required. The candidate will:
- Data enter application information into our Loan Origination system
- Leverage an Excel workbook to prepare preliminary loan offers using the information provided on the application
- Research local U.S. real estate markets
- Work with other departments to prepare loan offers within the boundaries of our underwriting methodology
- Conduct verification calls with third parties as needed
- Interface with internal departments on a day-to-day basis
- Maintain records of all loan record activity, update our proprietary system
- Develop reporting and when needed, conduct analyses on the loan activity upon request
- Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, composition of emails, and updating various documents and systems
- Perform accurate and complete closing and funding of loans by reviewing files received from Processing for proper completion and accuracy (e.g., that necessary documents are in the file for closing) and ensuring data integrity within the loan origination system
- Prepare/verify loan documents and mortgage to be executed by the borrower to fund
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 100% fluency in English, with exceptional English verbal and written communication skills
- 0-5 years’ work experience (foreign work experience outside Turkey is preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree (Business, Economics, Engineering/Sciences, Arts, English majors) desirable
- Experience with Microsoft: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint required; Teams experience preferred
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Proactive approach and strong work ethic
- Ability to learn quickly and prioritize workload independently
- Excellent attention to detail
- You must have your own computer/laptop - the company does not supply equipment.
