Job Description

As the IT Operations Manager at PaneraTech, you will be an integral part of our global team, revolutionizing heavy manufacturing through cutting-edge technologies. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, you will oversee the IT operations team, including DevOps, IT specialists, and Customer Success Managers. Your primary focus will be ensuring the seamless operation of Xsight, our flagship software that digitally transforms industrial assets. In this role, you will support our global clientele by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their assets achieve their maximum potential lifespan.

PaneraTech, Inc develops unique solutions to help customers reliably make more product with their critical assets. Many heavy manufacturing industries such as steel, glass, cement, copper, and aluminum use high temperature processing to melt tons of material in a day. We help in two main areas:

  • Asset Life Extension With our patented solution in the glass and steel industry, we help manufacturers in over 40 countries make data-driven decisions using sensors, data, and AI. This results in longer asset campaigns with higher annual production.
  • Enabling the next generation of workers Heavy industry has relied on the experience of employees who worked for 20-30 years in one plant. As a generation of operators and engineers retire, we bridge the experience gap with technology, data, and expertise. We offer solutions to our customers to make their process more data-driven so that an early career workforce can flourish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the global IT operations team, fostering collaboration and innovation across all software solutions.
  • Oversee the deployment and management of our complete software portfolio, including XSight, our cloud-based software solution, as well as internal software solutions and IT operations.
  • Deliver comprehensive training sessions to customers and internal teams, enabling them to effectively use and maximize the benefits of our software suite.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between different teams to align efforts with the goals and objectives of all software solutions.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing their needs and ensuring a positive experience with our software offerings.
  • Collaborate closely with the VP of Operations to align IT strategies with our mission of data-driven transformation across all software solutions.
  • Ensure the continuous operation and optimization of all software solutions, including XSight and internal systems.
  • Develop and implement effective IT policies and procedures that adhere to industry best practices, covering both customer-installed solutions and internal software.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and optimize IT-related expenditures for all software solutions.
  • Take charge of IT projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule and within budget for both customer-facing and internal software.
  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the IT operations team, supporting all software solutions.
  • Oversee the deployment and management of our complete software portfolio, including XSight, our cloud-based software solution, as well as internal software solutions and IT operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in global IT operations management, ideally within a data-driven context.
  • Strong leadership acumen, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to support our global customer base.
  • A customer-centric mindset with the capacity to effectively address client requirements.
  • Profound knowledge of IT best practices, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
