Commodity Manager

Location: Bursa

Your dream role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commodity Manager to find and motivate the best suppliers in the region to partner with ADL and to develop commodity strategies for the procurement of key vehicle components.

Full responsibilities of the role:

  • To develop best-in-class commodity strategies for the procurement of key vehicle components.
  • To find new sources of supply which improve cost, quality, delivery, and innovation.
  • To meet annual PPV and VIP savings targets, improving bottom line profitability.
  • To build and develop strong, constructive relationships with key suppliers.
  • To improve supplier performance on cost and availability of supply.
  • To negotiate commercial and contractual terms with key suppliers.
  • To monitor and manage risk with all key suppliers, ensuring stability of supply.
  • To be able to cooperate very well with the HQ teams of buyers, procurement engineers, supply chain teams.
  • To work closely with Design Engineering on Design for Cost and early supplier involvement in new product development.

What you will bring:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience of all aspects of commodity management and procurement - including sourcing, supplier selection amp; qualification, supplier negotiation, supplier relationship management.
  • Graduate qualified in Engineering and/or Business discipline.
  • Very good level of English, in listening, speaking, and writing (candidates will be asked to provide IELTS or TOEFL results. Minimum 8 IELTS or 100 TOEFL points required)
  • Speaking Turkish as mother tongue or near.
  • Willing to live in or daily commute to Bursa- for at least 3 working days a week.
  • No obstacles for domestic extensive travelling, and international occasionally.
  • Extensive experience of commodity management ideally in automotive industry.
  • Extensive experience of strategic sourcing in a manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive experience of supplier relationship amp; performance management.
  • Excellent commercial amp; business acumen.
  • Excellent teamwork and people skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships - both internally and externally.
  • Ability to plan activities, meet deadlines and deliver results.
  • Ability to make decisions quickly with limited time and information.
