Role Mission

You will be responsible for our pricing intelligence and analytics, pricing engine which produces the initial offer, and pricing team who gives the final offer:

• You will manage and lead our pricing strategy based on internal and external analysis and intelligence, and real-world market events impacting the auto industry; you will dive deep into the details
• You will actively anticipate and react to market changes to manage and update used car prices in real-time to optimize vehicle profitability and inventory turnaround days; you will have a strong bias for action
• You will manage and improve the pricing accuracy and timeliness of offering the final price to customers selling cars by continuously refining the pricing SOPs, and enhancing the pricing tools; you will invent and simplify
• You will actively develop new and maintain existing relationships in the auto-industry with regulators, OEMs, car rental agencies, auction houses to stay on top of industry news and insights impacting used car pricing
• You will analyze and understand customer trends and market dynamics for trading cars by de-averaging the data and filtering through the noise to refine our car acquisition and disposal strategy, and price positioning relative to market; you will live and breathe customer obsession
• You will collaborate with the product team to design, develop and manage a best-in-class pricing platform which accounts for car damage inputs, cost of carry of inventory, and market prices; you will insist on the highest standards
• You will actively support the data scientists and data engineers to build, manage and improve our proprietary pricing engine tool; you will develop and earn trust
• You will actively manage, develop and coach our team of pricing analysts, commercial analyst, and pricing interns; you will hire and develop the very best
• You will partner with colleagues and peers across the company both nationally and internationally and pay no attention to hierarchy or job titles to ensure trust and support through product / operations / purchasing / sales / marketing
• You will be hands on willing and able to work with your team to do what it takes and get what is required; you will directly engage with stakeholders and partners regularly
• You will be as comfortable in excel and ppt and be able to bring market observations and insights back into the company and be the voice of pricing internally
• You will have experience of operating in highly structured, data driven and analytical environments; we value your opinions but facts gt; opinions
• You will have experience of international working cultures, styles and customs

Requirements

• Proven leader with 7+ years experience in used cars pricing and extensive knowledge of the auto industry in Turkey
• Able to clearly, concisely and influentially communicate complex messages to a variety of audiences and formats - leverages data and visualizes clearly
• A good business mindset and ability to understand the implication of recommendations and recognize the key drivers of profitability
• Advanced communication and influencing skills in English and Turkish, written and verbal, able to successfully liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Highly motivated individual with the ability to successfully work in a dynamic, fast-paced high growth environment where agility is key
• Best in class track record of meeting and exceeding performance metrics and targets consistently
• Able to engage, influence and challenge at a senior level and successfully build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
• Commercially minded with strong financial / pricing modelling skills
• Exemplary people manager and coach
