500 Istanbul is looking for an Investment Manager who will be an integral part of our small but audacious team. Our mission is to back early-stage technology companies and help them scale globally.

What’s special about this position?

Investment Manager will work closely with the General Partners to source amp; assess opportunities, while also systematically building exposure, strengthening the deal-flow and non-stop meeting with new entrepreneurs from Turkey and Eastern Europe.

Responsibilities

Deal Sourcing and Screening

• Develop and manage the deal pipeline
• Perform preliminary analysis of potential target companies
• Screen deals and do streamlined reach-outs

Deal Diligence

• Analyze companies by developing a deep understanding of their team, customers, sales process and market
• Research industry dynamics and deep-dive into financials to put together investment memorandums
• Support the investment committee with managing the deal-making and due diligence process

Ecosystem Building and Exposure

• Develop relationships with industry leaders, accelerators, incubators, venture capitalists and entrepreneurs for potential investment opportunities
• Actively attend seminars and events to build a strong presence

Requirements

• Passionate for VC and intellectually curious about technology and early-stage startups
  
• 2-4 years of consulting, investment banking, Mamp;A, equity research and/or startup experience
• Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with extreme attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills are critical as you meet with entrepreneurs and other members in the ecosystem
• Self-starter and self-driven profile with strong networking skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in English is a must
