- Platform Engineering is a fresh, new Tribe at Trendyol, actively developing and evolving
- Platform Engineers at Trendyol work across the breadth of Trendyol’s platform, from our Customer Facing Applications to our Infrastructure, always with a customer focused mindset
- They combine their Software Engineering and Systems Engineering skills to help Trendyol’s Products amp; Infrastructure grow and meet scalability and reliability targets
- Pes team-up with other engineers to optimize architecture, code and infrastructure to make sure our business critical applications are fast, stable, reliable and avaible
- They apply Software Engineering practices to Operations challenges, striving for efficiency, usability, developer experience and automation, while eliminating manual work
- The scope for PE will put our engineers in contact with different programming languages, frameworks, storages, etc. The ability to form a big picture of how a large distributed system and its components interact is key to enabling PEs to do their job
- Platform team currently provides runtime solutions to Trendyol’s microservice ecosystem on config amp; secret management, cache management, service discovery, observability, authentication, authorization, content trust security, ci/cd pipeline templates, and team portal. New responsibilities are coming!
Your experience is needed in one or more of the following requirements.YOUR PROFILE
- Draw on your experience in Software amp; Systems Engineering to bridge the gap between Trendyol’s products and our infrastructure to help to build a developer-friendly, reliable platform
- You are eager to learn and can adapt to an ever-evolving service landscape and can pick the right technology to the problem at hand
- Solid background in backend infrastructure, distributed systems, and performance analysisExpert understanding of software engineering principles and fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, object oriented design and testabilityIdentify and propose automation opportunities to gain efficiency and scability
- Communicate with software developers, product managers and business teams to clarify and build consensus on technical development and vision
- Collaborate with Domain teams to perform Root Cause Analysis for Post Mortems, or to develop amp; improve a Platform Product to meet a common, recurring problem, reliability or performance targets
- Solid understanding of SDLC processes, GitOps approaches, and provide necessary CI/CD pipeline infrastructure.
YOUR CHALLENGE
- Self-motivation to learn, share, and grow yourself in the ever-changing, and developing ecosystem of platform technologies amp; concepts is a must
- Software Engineering - CS fundamentals (algorithms and data structures) and proficiency in at least one JVM-based programming language. (experience in Golang is a plus)
- Software Architecture - Strong understanding of synchronous/asynchronous microservice amp; data architecturesSystems Engineering - large-scale system design exposure, understanding of UNIX/Linux systems internals, TCP/IP networking, distributed system challenges
