As a Firefly Frontend Engineer, you will be responsible for developing UI features, working closely with other engineering teams as well as our product management and design team peers to develop the core experience of our internal and external facing products that will enable Firefly to scale and ensure that we remain the market leader. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a modern tech stack on a product that has traction with significant growth opportunities.Main Responsibilities- Design, build and maintain libraries that align with feature requirements and constantly improve and refine accuracy
- Engage with product owners, UX Experts and business stakeholders to analyze requirements, develop ideas and design solutions
- Make technical decisions independently
- Plan implementation and rollout system changes that meet requirements for functionality, performance, stability, reliability and adherence to development goals and principles
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement, work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices
- Encourage engineering best practices in the team and the larger department.
Skills Needed- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science or related fields and/or related work experience
- Experience working with modern web standards and technologies (HTML5,CSS3, ES6, React) and apply them to build fully responsive web apps
- Experience in software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, build processes, testing, and maintenance
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams and management to collect requirements, evaluate alternatives and describe product strategy, technical designs, and software product features
- Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices and considerations
- In depth, up-to-date knowledge of new technology/patterns
- "Can do" attitude and a willingness to take ownership of problems
