The position in a nutshellAs a Cloud Database Administrator, you will be a part of our Cloud Engineering team and will be taking hands-on technical ownership of 2-3 client implementation projects simultaneously and drive them towards value realization by understanding and translating the client’s business needs. You will apply your cloud, database and architecture skills working with cloud-based resources to define standards and processes for the development and deployment of scalable, reliable applications. By communicating effectively with stakeholders throughout projects, Database Administrators provide underlying infrastructure, ensure application of the correct business logic and translation of raw data into analysis ready datasets through various computing methods. The focus of a Cloud Data Engineer’s daily work is ingesting new data sources, building data pipelines by writing transformations and deriving new datasets for both new and known data sources.Qualifications Experience- BS/MS degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or related field
- Knowledge of data management fundamentals, data storage principles and distributed systems
- Experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure
- Experience with database administration for DynamoDB
- Data Warehousing Experience with AWS Redshift etc.
- Experience with No-SQL Databases / Elasticache on AWS Cloud
- Experienced on database performance tuning and query optimization
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Can-do attitude.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
Nice to Have- AWS Certified Database or AWS Solution Architect Associate Certification
- Implementation and tuning experience specifically using Amazon Elastic Map Reduce (EMR).
- Experience in developing software in Java and/or Python
