PAC Group Supplier Quality Engineer / Purchasing Group - AUTOMOTIVE
The PAC Group is seeking Supplier Quality Engineers, with 8-10 years’ experience to join its Global Operations consulting team in our Turkey Technical Center.
Requirements
- Provide training to Supplier companies on development and reporting of APQP documentation (Control Plans, FMEAs, Process Flow, etc.), and subsequently to monitor amp; follow-up on the quality of such documentation at a Supplier location.
- Perform Supplier Assessments to set the basis for improvement of deficiencies identified during a Supplier Audit, and/or to help a Supplier prepare for an OEM’s Quality audit or a TS16949 audit.
- Manage and follow-up on new product launch APQP activities.
- Develop Supplier gap closure improvement plan; with emphasis on using project management approach to prioritizing corrective actions.
- Guide and support a Supplier's gap closure activities, with a focus to help the Supplier to effectively track, address and close open issues required to meet quality system targets from their customer.
- Manage and monitor Supplier quality performance for production to ensure through-put, and that production targets have been met in the desired quantity at the required time.
- Experience in supporting Purchasing Group requirements, for example as a Buyer.
Requirements:
- Automotive commodity expertise in plastic parts.
- Thorough knowledge of the APQP process and all associated documentation.
- Aptitude and/or experience in training engineers effectively.
- Previous experience in auditing supplier's outgoing product quality.
- Good problem-solving skills with thorough understanding of 8D Reports, 5 Why methodology, SPC etc.
- Solid understanding of ISO 9000, QS9000, and TS16949 Site audit requirements.
- Proficiency in transferring knowledge to Supplier teams for sustainable continuous improvement.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
- Good analysis skills.
- Demonstrated integrity, enthusiasm and team-spirit.
Core Competencies:
- Proficiency with the full suite of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and Outlook.
- Minimum Bachelor degree from related discipline(s) and 8-10 years related experience.
Prequalification:
- Candidates should have prior work experience in automotive product development areas and/or manufacturing facilities.
- Previous overseas project assignments are viewed as a plus.
