We make human data accessible, anywhere in the world by connecting brands with real people on the ground to gather real-time in-the-moment insights at scale. As a ReactJS Developer you’ll be able to clearly see your impact in what we deliver day-to-day to our clients and our users. You'll be part of an engineering culture that welcomes participation and discussion at all levels. We work with some of the largest companies in the world and our user numbers are growing exponentially month over month.

Here's some of the projects you'll be able to work on:

• Building data visualisation tools that allow analysts to understand and interrogate complex datasets typically using data viz frameworks like d3 with ReactJS, consuming our own APIs and querying data sources like Elasticsearch
• Building apps that control, direct and query our AI / Machine Learning technologies, allowing our teams to train the ML models, and allowing analysts to make use of the ML models in their work typically building ReactJS apps, sometimes with ‘no-backend’ authentication systems and databases, calling our ML APIs. Could include ML in the browser technologies like TensorflowJS if you’re interested in that.
• Building our Web Application that allows our 2M+ users (we call them ‘Bees’) to tell us their stories, send us their pictures, answer questions for us standard ReactJS
• If you are interested in full-stack work also, you could be working with Node.js (for example build serverless lambda functions), and option to get into Ruby, Elixir and Python (the stacks we use for web, API, and data apps)

• From crowd-sourced data collection, to image / video processing and visualisation, you'll be working on some interesting technical challenges.
• We are a ‘Series A’ start-up, but we already work with some of the largest companies in the world (including 8 of the 10 biggest FMCG companies in the world) and our user numbers are growing exponentially month over month.
• You’ll be joining an experienced and friendly team of engineers, building a new generation of research and data analysis tools.

Requirements

• You have a strong level of understanding and knowledge of JavaScript and of ReactJS.
• Of course you’ll be very capable with HTML, CSS and the major front-end frameworks like Bootstrap.
• You structure and refactor and test your code. You’ll be knowledgeable about general software engineering tools and processes like Scrum, Kanban, Git and CI
• You’re happy to both work to detailed designs and specs, and to build exploratory prototypes in tandem with analysts and superusers, depending on the type of requirement
• You have a huge drive to get something shipped, and get a kick out of building new things in a company that is disrupting a large, established industry

Desired Experience:

• It’s likely (but not required) that you’ll have a good working knowledge of Node.js, or at least some experience with it and desire to gain more
• Experience with other full web stacks, bonus points for Ruby, Elixir or Python ones, but experience with other equivalents also useful
• Knowledge of other technologies we are currently using: ElasticSearch, Redis, Docker, AWS, CI/CD technologies
