We are looking for an analyst to come in and help oversee our Merchant Risk function. This role will likely start with a significant amount of day to day operational activity to help assess Cherry's many inbound merchant applications and gradually transition into a modeling and analytics role as we move towards full automation of our merchant underwriting function. This will be a fantastic opportunity to come in and get your hands dirty and really get to know our book of business before transitioning towards building out predictive analytic models and automated merchant risk and activity monitoring. This position will report directly to Cherry's Head of Risk.
The ideal candidate will have one to five years of analytics experience working for a lending or payments company and will have spent some time at a fintech in a merchant risk or underwriting role. SQL fluency is a must and competency in R or Python is preferred.
