WBL is a U.S.-based company with a 100% remote workforce. The company is seeking to bolster its operational support staff by hiring employees in Turkey. This Analyst position will be a remote role based in Istanbul.
About the Job:
This is a remote Contract position. Working hours will be 4pm until 2am Istanbul time, Monday through Friday. The job requires excellent oral and written command of the English language. Resumes must be submitted in English. Resumes provided in Turkish will not be reviewed.
The candidate will research, process and analyze loan applications. Job responsibilities include working with WBL Operations teams to prepare a loan package for each loan. These teams consist of Pricing, Credit, Valuations and Closing teams, to which the Analyst would provide support. Analysts will likely rotate between departments within the company. Furthermore, the candidate will perform other projects and duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
The Analyst role is operationally critical towards completing the goals of the company. The nature of the job is time sensitive and requires attention to every detail. Therefore, the candidate is expected to be well organized and hardworking. Ability to apply logical thinking and analytical methods to real life situations is required. The candidate will:
- Research local real estate markets,
Prepare offers on submissions, present them to Sales and work with them, within the boundaries of our underwriting methodology
- Conduct verification calls with third parties,
- Develop financial models to support analysis of loan level and portfolio performance
- Perform accurate and complete closing and funding of loans by reviewing files received from Processing for proper completion and accuracy (e.g., that necessary documents are in the file for closing) and ensuring data integrity within the loan origination system.
- Prepare/verify loan documents and mortgage to be executed by the borrower in order to fund.
This is a cross-functional job which requires a high level of communication and quantitative skills. The candidate will have extensive exposure to multiple departments within the firm such as the Credit, Valuation, Title and Closing departments. The Analyst is to effectively communicate credit concerns, and in time, work on loan approvals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, Business, Economics, Engineering and Sciences, Arts, Business, Economics and English majors
- Excellent/above average English knowledge (both written and verbal)
- Willing to work EST time zone hours (4pm 2am Istanbul time)
- 0-7 years’ work experience (foreign work experience outside Turkey is preferred)
- Strong ability to work independently
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint experience required; Teams experience preferred)
- Experience working as a loan processor in a mortgage/ loan environment (optional)
- Must own a computer (desktop/laptop, PC or Mac is acceptable)

• CONTRACT POSITION 6 MONTHS, SUBJECT TO EXTENSIONS
• 12,000TL 17,000TL (~$900-~$1,250) NET compensation per month, depending on experience
