About World Business Lenders (WBL)

WBL is a U.S.-based company with a 100% remote workforce. The company is seeking to bolster its staff with qualified talent in Turkey. This position will be a remote role based in Istanbul, Ankara or select other cities.

This is a remote Contract/Consultant position. Working hours will be 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern Time (4:00pm-1:00am or 5:00pm-2:00am Istanbul time), Monday through Friday. The job requires excellent oral and written command of the English language. Resumes must be submitted in English. Resumes provided in Turkish will not be reviewed.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for managing and executing accounting operations for Finance department
• Enhance accounting and reporting technology systems
• Ensure integrity of general ledger data
• Ensure integrity of loan portfolio accounting
• Support effective vendor management and expense control
• Prepare internal GAAP financials and present to management
• Document accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
• Support management of relationships with external audit and tax service providers
• Stay abreast of technical accounting developments
• Other projects and duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
• 15+ years’ progressive accounting experience, ideally in the lending industry
• CPA certification or equivalent
• Well-versed in IFRS and/or GAAP accounting
• Financial reporting proficiency
• Experience with Sage or similar accounting software preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Financial reporting proficiency
• Excellent English fluency, both written and verbal

$3,000-$4,000 USD per month, depending on experience
