Sr. Portfolio Analyst - Finance with SQL experience

WBL is a U.S.-based company with a 100% remote workforce. The company is seeking to bolster its staff with qualified talent in Turkey. This position will be a remote role based in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir or select other cities.

This is a remote Contract/Consultant position. Working hours will be 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern Time (4:00pm-1:00am or 5:00pm-2:00am Istanbul time), Monday through Friday. The job requires excellent oral and written command of the English language. Resumes must be submitted in English. Resumes provided in Turkish will not be reviewed. YOU MUST LIVE IN TURKEY.

Essential Functions:

• Develop financial models and forecasts to assess the future cash flow of a multitude of portfolios the company owns and/or services.
• Forecast Performing Loan (PL) and Non-Performing Loan (NPL) loan level outcomes, working directly with the Asset Resolution and REO teams.
• Utilize SQL to access, manipulate and analyze data from WBL’s Loan Administration system.
• Build annual budgets and forecasts for different business units and consolidate them into a master budget.
• Analyze previous budgets and forecasts and conduct variance analysis to explain discrepancies.
• Oversee the integrity of the loan records with the loan administration system.
• Monitor mortgage and title policies for loan portfolios.
• Identify, analyze and document client portfolio risk and risk mitigating factors.
• Work alongside with the FPamp;A group towards development of the company’s financial forecast.
• Support financial and functional due diligence requests for corporate transactions.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 7-10 years progressive experience in financial analysis/modeling in the financial lending or mortgage industry.
• Solid knowledge of the principles of general business, accounting, quantitative analysis and finance. IFRS accounting experience preferred.
• High degree of proficiency in Excel, including complex financial analysis/modeling, VBA/macros, relational databases and SQL.
• Minimum 3 years of SQL experience preferred.
• Excellent English fluency, both written and verbal.
